I. ReportYourEx.com requests that everyone provide accurate information in their submissions and comments. By uploading an image to your posting, you are attesting to being the owner of the photo and giving Report Your Ex unlimited rights to use the photo in your posting, other areas of the site, as well as any site marketing materials. This isn’t a forum to slander individuals and defame them. The purpose of this website is to give people the ability to create an Ex Report on people that they’ve had past relationships with. The truth should be enough. By posting false information, you can be potentially subjected to defamation lawsuits. IP addresses and emails are tracked by this website, and can be subpoenaed in a court of law for a defamation suit. Report Your Ex is not liable for information that you post. Please do not post false information on this site. We have no way of verifying the information that you submit, however, if your information is proven false in a court of law, the Ex Report and subsequent comments will be deleted (this is the ONLY reason that an Ex Report and/or comments will be deleted). If you are unhappy with your ex, please post the reasons as to why this is so, rather than creating false information for the sake of defaming the individual. This minimizes the effectiveness of our website and is not appreciated.
II. ReportYourEx.com disclaims all express and implied warranties with respect to the information and materials provided in this website, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement of proprietary rights. ReportYourEx.com, its owners, officers, trustees, employees, independent contractors and other representatives shall have no liability for any damages, including direct, indirect, consequential, compensatory, special, punitive, or incidental damages arising out of or relating to the use of this website or the information and materials provided through this website. This website is provided as an “as is” as available basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, included but not limited to, those title, merchantability for a particular purpose or non-infringement or any warranty as to accuracy, timeliness, completeness. No oral advice or written information is provided by ReportYourEx.com or its employees or its affiliate organization shall create warranty, nor shall members or visitors to this site rely on any information provided. The user(s) assumes all responsibility and risk for the use of this website. Under no circumstances shall ReportYourEx.com or its employees or anyone else involved in creating or maintaining this website be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of any kind that result directly or indirectly from the use of this website and other websites that are linked to this websites, or that result directly or indirectly from mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion of files, viruses, errors defects or any failure of performance, communications failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access. ReportYourEx.com is facilitated and managed within the jurisdiction of Clark County, Nevada. Any and all actions filed in respect to this site, it’s administration, management, owners, or otherwise affiliate individuals/organizations must be done so within the Clark County Courts in the State of Nevada, United States of America.
III. Visitors agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and are prohibited from posting on this website any unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing or obscene materials of any kind, including, but not limited to, any material which encourage a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, nation or international laws. This applies to any posting that could be termed as sexual harassment and/or discrimination. The user assumes all responsibility and risk for the use of this website. Under no circumstances shall ReportYourEx.com or affiliated organizations or its employees or anyone else involved in the creating and/or managing of this website be liable for any reason.
IV. Once a posting has been submitted, whether approved already or pending approval from site administers, the posting has left the possession of the submitter and submitter gives explicit permissions to ReportYourEx.com for the use of the submission for use within the site as the site chooses. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation of an Ex Report, testimonials, paraphrases within articles written by content writers for the website, advertisements for the site. We do not remove postings from our site; even in the case of a request by someone claiming to be the original author. This is to protect the integrity of the site, as well as to uphold “Freedom of Speech” rights. As well, we do not remove Ex Reports, as the first paragraph in this policy notates that the submissions be presented as factual by the submitter and we will not be party to hiding or suppressing the truth. Furthermore, by allowing submissions to be deleted by the claimed author we can possibly be giving powers to the person named in the submission to extort, via force and monetary means, the individual claiming to be the submitter. We will not be party to extortion efforts.
V. We do offer a retraction opportunity for people whom later decide that they have been less than 100% truthful when originally creating their submission. In this case, we need to verify that the claimed submitter is, in fact, the original submitter. To do this, we require that the claimed submitter be verified via the email and IP address that were used during the original submission. We will send a verification email to the email address used by the original submitter. Once we receive a response from the verified email, a retraction will be requested by the site administrators. Typically a retraction can replace the original submission within 3 business days, however, there is no guarantee that any specific retraction will be approved and replace the original submission within that 3 business day period. Furthermore, the retraction is only applicable to the content within the post, it will not replace the original title of the post. If you are retracting more than one post, you may not use “copy & paste” methods; each retraction must be submitted separately and be 100% truthful. Once verified, the retraction must meet our retraction standards as expressed below.
VI. Here are our retraction standards that must be met by the submitter in order for it acceptance consideration. If these standards are not met, you will receive a reply email stating the area(s) that did not meet our standards.
a.) The retraction must be at least 300 words in length. We feel that without meeting this standard, a true explanation as to the retraction can not be met accurately. A simple “I changed my mind” is not sufficient.
b.) ReportYourEx.com, its policies, etc. can not be mentioned in your retraction.
c.) The retraction must include the reasons as to “why” you posted the original submission.
d.) The retraction must include the reasons as to “why” you have decided to issue the retraction.
Furthermore, retractions can be removed after 6 months from the submission of the retraction (This is only applicable if no other Ex Reports or comments on the Ex Report have been submitted regarding the individual). Our site administrators make an effort to manually remove retracted Ex Reports after 6 months from the submission of the posted retraction, however, if you notice that a retraction has been up for more than 12 months, please contact the site administrators to notify them, so they may tend to the matter. A notification of an out-dated retraction can be made by any user of the site. It does not have to be done by the original submitter.
VII. The original submitter does have the right to respond to comments made by additional parties. If the site operators discover that the original submitter has posted comments below the Ex Report under different aliases, the site administrators reserve the rights to take one of the following actions.
a.) Remove the comment altogether.
b.) Change the “name” of the comment author to match the “name” of the original submitter.
c.) Place an {ADMIN COMMENT} within said comment notifying other users and readers that the stated comment is written by the original author.
VIII. When submitting a “User Topic” on ReportYourEx.com or submitting a “Question” or “Answer” on RelationshipHelp.ReportYourEx.com you agree to follow all of the above policies and procedures; replacing all of our policy statements with “USER TOPIC” or “QUESTION” or “ANSWER” where “EX REPORT” is currently placed.
IX. Furthermore, ReportYourEx.com reserves the right to make changes to this policy and other policies within the site without notification. Any submission, whether it be a comment, Ex Report, question, or answer, accepts this policy and or any updates/changes to this policy and future policies implemented by ReportYourEx.com.
