Would you rat out a suspected tax cheater for your own possible profit?

Query by Patriot-two: Would you rat out a suspected tax cheater for your personal attainable profit?
In my viewpoint, I feel this is a pathetic underhanded attempt by the feds to divide the men and women even more, taking advantage of the economic crisis the gvt engineered in the initial place) Why not begin with the politicians themselves?

Excerpt from the article:
Since there is no minimum requirement for the sum in question, any person can file a report in hopes of making an further buck off of a cheating boyfriend or obnoxious neighbor.

“You possibly get a mix of men and women with the informant plan. You may have spouses –– or ex–spouses almost certainly –– as well as ex–employees turning in their employers,” said Raabe. “But you genuinely have to feel, ‘is it worth my time to report that guy?’”

Totally NOT. The government is attempting very difficult to turn us into a nation of informers. Honor is nonetheless essential to me, simply because these who inform are SCUM.

What do you think? Solution under!

  1. I don’t think I would. But I like most of the people in my life. Now, if I had a really abusive bf – I might report him.

People should be paying their fair share of taxes, but overall, I’m not sure this is a good idea. There will be false reports, report as retaliation, etc.

  2. Nothing is worse than a rat. The government would love everyone to rat on his neighbor. Disgusting…..

  3. I’m not a snitch

  4. Since I pay my taxes honestly – I expect others to do so as well.

Why should I keep silent and protect somebody who is forcing me to pay his share of the taxes?

The tax cheats hurt the honest taxpayers. Can anybody give me a good reason why we should tolerate this?

  5. This is the same kind of propaganda they do in third world counties to keep the people in line. As long as they have a reason to investigate you they control you. And now all it takes is someone pissed off with you and you get investigated.

I do agree with you. We should report every politician we know. Starting with the previous president. With his ties to Haleburton, Enron and other major businesses I bet there are some un-paid taxes somewhere in there.

As far as answering your question. No I wouldn’t.
    1) It’s the governments job to keep track of taxes. 2) If they didn’t mess up so bad this wouldn’t happen. 3) I need my money more then they do. They have jobs, I don’t. 4) The point of Government is to help organize what we need. Not to make their pockets bigger by getting us to fight amongst each other over who didn’t pay enough taxes.

Where’s Robinhood when you need him, lol.

  6. All depends.
If the person is like Charlie Rangel who has no regard for this country and rubbing it blatantly in the face of the American public that he is supposed to be serving, absolutely.
If it is a hard working person just trying to get by and always gives back to the community any way they can, then no.
By the way-this tax thing is nothing new-it’s been around for as long as I can remember.
It has just been unpacked and dusted off.

  7. I wouldn’t report someone because of a personal grudge, I would report them because they are breaking the law. Simple as that. If I am expected to pay my taxes with honesty why should someone else get off the hook and cause a burden for those who aren’t cheating?

  8. when all the cheats in congress pay what they owe, maybe I will think different, but right now, no I would not. the kettle should not be calling another kettle for the same thing they are guilty of.

  9. Only the politicians and lawyers.
I would start with Geithner, Rangel, and Edwards

Otherwise, no. This is a ploy by Big Bro to get our eyes off the politicians and turn against one another.

The 16 amendment is unconstitutional anyway.

  10. Who you gonna call? Tim Geithner? hahaha!

  11. “Suspected”, no.

DEFINITE. If I didn’t like the cheater, heck yeah. I won’t accept the profit, tho. That’s a little creepy.

  12. you sound psycho to me mind ur own business and move on
