Q&A: Should sites like www.dontdatehimgirl.com be shut down?

Question by BAnne: Should web sites like www.dontdatehimgirl.com be shut down?
DontDateHimGirl.com developed a buzz last year when it launched a totally free searchable database of males accused of infidelity by their ex-lovers, wives and girlfriends. Critics warned it was only a matter of time till the South Florida-primarily based internet site made popular for dishing up tales of deceit was itself served with a lawsuit.

Their prediction has come accurate: Almost a year right after Miami Beach entrepreneur Tasha Joseph founded the site, a Pennsylvania man has sued the firm, claiming defamation by Joseph and four women who posted disparaging comments about him in the online forum. Pittsburgh attorney Todd Hollis filed a complaint Thursday after anonymous postings appeared on the web site accusing him of passing on a sexually transmitted illness, bisexuality and dating many girls although claiming fidelity — accusations he stated are untrue and damaging to his reputation.

  1. I think the concept of the site is interesting, but people are stupid. Just look at some of the questions that get posted here. You can’t put something like that out, and expect it not to get abused.

  2. Yes

    wait a minute

wht are they gonna make if they dont open up sites like this

they dont have anythin else to do

even they do its easy money

  3. Yes, I think this site should be shut down.

  4. Yes it should be banned. People shouldn’t be able to post stuff like that on the internet. It could all be crap too, ex girlfriends who don’t want to give up on a man so they try and give him a bad rep. Or just evil women who want to destroy a man’s life because he wasn’t intersted in them.

  5. yes shut it down
