Hahahaha are you sure you want to thank them? If the wife is so bad, keeping the marriage together should be a torture, no reason for applause.
It is not wrong to thank them if they have indeed helped keeping you marriage together (if this is your goal).
I have also known men who acquire the services of professional escorts (some with the knowledge/permission of their wives) and thankful for them when their wives could no longer satisfy their needs in the bedroom due to reduced sex drive or physical ailments that preclude the possibility of sex.
